Quotable Buffalo
Victorian Buffalo

Cynthia Van Ness has a Master’s degree in Library Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has worked in libraries for 20 years, having begun her career as a Page at the Rochester (NY) Public Library in 1979, where she eventually assumed responsibility for that library’s Picture Collection, one of the largest circulating picture collections in the country. She moved to Buffalo in 1992 and is presently employed as a local history and genealogy librarian in Buffalo.

Ms. Van Ness was honored with a reception / author signing at the downtown Buffalo central branch of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library. A photo of the occasion, plus a web site dedicated to Victorian Buffalo, was created by Chuck LaChiusa for the Preservation Coalition of Erie County.
